Neighbouring the City of Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle under Lyme is one of Staffordshire’s largest towns and has copious amounts to offer for all ages and cultures. Geographically, the town is conveniently located being only a few minutes drive from J15 of the M6 motorway network, along with the A34 road network, making it an easy commute to bigger cities such as Manchester or Birmingham and the nearest Train Station in Stoke can get you to Manchester in as little as 39 minutes!

Things to do

A historical market town, the monthly artisan and farmers market is a popular event for the areas community with an array of crafts and food by local tradesmen.

Sports enthusiasts have a choice of many fitness centres, sport and athletics clubs and cyclists enjoy using the outdoor velodrome. The Apedale country park is an excellent local attraction with Waterworld and two ski centres also in close proximity.

Community

The home of Keele University Complex and the large Royal Stoke University Hospital, the town attracts people from far and wide, moving into the area for further education. More recently there has been an increase in people relocating for the high performing schools including Maybank Infants, Blackfriars Academy and Hempstalls primary school- recently rated as 'outstanding' by Ofsted and the equally successful Newcastle College.

Nightlife

The town centre of Newcastle under Lyme hosts a wide array of popular eateries including Pasta Di Piazza, Cappello Lounge, Sando and the latest addition of Bloom, all offering a little piece of something for everybody, with a good selection of culture and variety. On the outskirts you can experience a more finer dining experience at The Orange Tree and The Milehouse Restaurants and cocktail bars – just to name a few!
