Stephen and Tony Browne created Stephenson Browne in 1999 and has subsequently overseen the Company expansion over the last 20 plus years from a single sales office in Alsager to become the leading Independent Estate and Letting Agent in South Cheshire and North Staffs. Stephen has great experience in both Residential Sales and Lettings having worked extensively in both fields within the Company. Having a foundation and track record spanning many years Stephen can offer knowledgeable, helpful and strategic advice in all matters property related.

I'm Craig and people often refer to me as the one with the hair who wears odds socks, have to stand out don’t you! It may be hard to believe however I was tasked with taking over the big man’s shoes (Tony Browne) in 2015 and took over the realms in Alsager. Having continued the branches strong success in the area, I opened the Crewe office in 2018, establishing them as the number one agent in Crewe within two very interesting years! I was honoured to be made the Sales Director for the company in 2020, must be doing something right I guess. I love property and am often told that my passion/enthusiasm comes across in a very positive light to our clients.

I’ve been in the industry for over 15 years and am used to delivering a consistent level of high standards. Right now, as well as overseeing the company’s sales branches, I am managing our newly opened Congleton office. I’m fortunate to be responsible for the running of a very hard working team of Estate Agents across the board and wherever you are looking to sell or buy, I really do believe you are in the safest of hands with ourselves, an award-winning team who look forward to aiding your property requirements!

Having worked his way up the ranks at the countries largest estate agency chain to board of management level, Tony decided to go it alone in 1999 with fellow colleague Stephen Bird. Together they created Stephenson Browne and grew into the areas most recognised brand in both sales and lettings. Now focused on acquisition and growth Tonys role involves further business opportunities and fine tuning whilst overseeing the sales branches at all four locations.


Hello! I’m Matt and I look after the day-to-day running of Stephenson Browne’s flagship office in Alsager.

I’ve been working in the industry for just short of 10 years and in that time I have worked for both independent agents and also a larger corporate firm and I am very grateful to be part of such a wonderful team here in Alsager.

I love my job, meeting clients both old and new and back in 2016 I won the national ESTAS, ‘People’s choice’ award presented me by the one and only Phil Spencer for my commitment to the industry from both client feedback and reviews. In my spare time when we’re not busy selling houses I’m either on the golf course looking for my ball, keeping the neighbours on their toes with my drums or spending time with my partner Lindsey and Lola the cat.

As a self professed, workaholic, Sarah is Manager of our Alsager and Newcastle Lettings branches. She has worked in the industry for 14 years and joined Stephenson Browne almost 5 years ago.

The industry requires lots of knowledge in compliance and housing legislation, and Sarah is qualified at Level 3 and Level 4 in Residential Lettings and Management. Supported by two great teams, each focus on providing a positive experience for our clients.

Ally who has worked diligently over the last 9 years now holds the title of Assistant Lettings Manager, a promotion for her commitment and hard work at helping to retain our number one position as market leader in the area. Holly and Carla, our two lovely and friendly negotiators, assist with viewings, inspections and tenancy processing.


Alongside the character that is our Sales Director Craig, we’ve got Congleton girl Ellie,

Ellie has lived in Congleton for over 15 years so has great local knowledge and is looking forward to seeing a few familiar faces working back in her hometown. Straight from High School Ellie started an apprenticeship as an Estate Agent and went on to pursue this career for the next five years in the Cheshire Area covering various locations. Ellie then decided to explore a different route within a similar industry and worked in New Build Interior Design for the past four years, having enjoyed trying something new and learning new skills, her true passion lies within Estate Agency, and she is delighted to be back (With an eye for Interior Design). Out of work Ellie is a serial shopper and loves to socialise with her friends and enjoys meeting new people, then it’s off to the gym with the PT to work off all the food and drink!

And what feels like her sister Tash,

Tash started working as an estate agent in 2018 in the Congleton Area, joining Stephenson Browne back in March 2021 at the Alsager Office in preparation for her role at the Congleton branch. “It’s great to be back and to be seeing you all again after my short time away”. Tash loves meeting new people and building relationships, “I have always worked in a customer facing role and this is what I love to do”. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new places and going away on holiday. Tash also loves to socialise with friends and family and take trips to her favourite place (IKEA).


Hi, I'm Jenny and head up the lettings team here at Crewe. To say I love property is a bit of an understatement… I REALLY love property…. But not as much as Chocolate! Having worked in senior retail management previously, I switched to property within an Independent Agent 16 years ago and have never looked back. From part-time Sales Negotiator to Lettings Branch Manager now, I have spent time between sales and lettings both with independent and corporate agents but now remain where my passion lies. Truly independent! Truly Lettings!

My team…. As there is no I in team I guess you should know more about who makes it all happen. Leading the way in property management is Emma, our long-serving powerhouse property manager who looks after property maintenance, inspections (with James) and even dabbles in property refurbishment with myself for Landlords new purchases. Our gas/electric safety and tenancy renewal Co-Ordinator Claudia has joined us following many successful years with social housing and not forgetting Poppy who is our number one go getting tenant finder and move in Co-Ordinator who has also recently progressed to providing rental valuations and appraisals.

So as you can see, a place for everything and everything in its place. A tight-knit team running a tight-knit ship!

Hi I’m Megan and I’m the branch manager of our fantastic office in Crewe. I have worked in property for 5 years now, having come from a sales background and having a passion for property, I knew this role would be a perfect fit for me. I like to think of myself as approachable, hardworking and dedicated to achieving the best results for my customers.

Luckily for me, I have a seriously dedicated team to help run this busy office! Gail is our senior property consultant, she’s one of our most experienced members of staff having worked in the property industry for over 30 years. Denise is our sales manager, if you check our social media, you will see she is always receiving wine and chocolate from her clients who she’s helped to either buy or sell a property. Our two sales consultants, Belle and Jack, will help find you find your perfect home or investment and will always be available to help no matter what. Hi, Im Sarah, one of our team of Lettings Managers. I have worked in Lettings now for over 15 years and in my current role with Stephenson Browne for over 5 years. I love working in property, having an understanding of the complexities of housing law and I enjoy the variety that my role offers with the ultimate goal of true client satisfaction.

Heading up two offices requires the need to have teams that you can rely on to take care of our portfolio of properties and understand the needs of each of our clients, which I am fortunate to be supported by some really great ladies. Michelle in our Newcastle branch has been in the industry for over 20 years and oversees the safety and compliance of our portfolio. Sharon and Samantha are both excellent communicators conducting viewings and inspections to make sure we secure the best tenants and that your properties are well looked after.


Hi, I’m Alannah, I grew up in Sandbach and still live here, so to be based in a branch in my home town is fantastic, I love this area and property and have an excellent understanding of the local property market.

I left university in 2013 and one month later I landed a job in estate agency and I haven’t looked back since! I started off for one of the leading corporate agents however I always wanted to work for an independent agent and so in 2015 when I started for Stephenson Browne that’s when the fun began! Working for an independent agent allows close contact with our client’s day in, day out and here in Sandbach we are known for our excellent customer service, and it is certainly what we pride ourselves on.

My team has a wealth of knowledge and over 30 years of experience between us- Alison, Cathy, Emma or June are always available at the end of the phone or in branch to offer friendly and honest advice.

Alison and the recently returning Belle are our full-time negotiators, Alison is our longest-serving member of staff and is known for getting difficult sales across the line! We are delighted to welcome back Belle to our team she is a great asset to the team and is always on hand to answer any questions that you may have Finnly we have Christinia who is our fantastic viewing rep who is always on hand for any questions our viewers might have. I have worked in Estate Agency for over 30 years, both in Sales and Lettings and for the last 20 of those years working for Stephenson Browne.

I have found my niche in Lettings but can assist on any property related matters. I head up the Stephenson Browne Lettings office in Sandbach along with my small but very enthusiastic team of Jo Lloyd and Jenny Moors.

Jenny has recently returned as our Assistant Lettings Manager, is very hands on and deals with all rental related maintenance issues, applications and inventories, again a valued member of the team.

Jo, our Lettings Administrator, has been with Stephenson Browne for almost 10 years and knows the Lettings industry inside out. She is always at the end of the phone to answer any queries with a smile!
