  • Where will my property be advertised?
    For maximum visibility to potential buyers and tenants, your home will be marketed on all the major property websites including the UKs most visited site www.rightmove.co.uk and the newest most talked about recent entrant www.onthemarket.com. Each office holds a prime position within the local area with bespoke displays giving your property the exposure it deserves.


  • Where are your offices?
    We have offices in Crewe Road (Alsager), Nantwich Road (Crewe), High Street (Sandbach) and Merrial Street (Newcastle-under-Lyme) where you can find more details on our listed properties and details of how to sell your home or rent your property with Stephenson Browne.


  • What are your opening hours?
    Our offices are open Monday to Friday between 9.15am – 5.30pm. We’re also open on Saturdays between 9am and 4pm.


  • Do you provide a fully managed letting service?
    We can provide whatever level of letting service you need. Our fully managed letting service takes all the worry and hassle of letting your property off your hands. We take care of everything for you on an on-going basis, including:

    • Letting agreements between you and your tenant
    • Inventories
    • Setting up standing orders
    • Liaising with utility companies
    • Arranging relevant legal notices for your protection
    • Deposit submission through our association with The Deposit Protection Service

    We also offer a ‘Let Only’ service, which includes all of the above as a one-off service rather than an on-going arrangement, meaning you will be responsible for rent collection and any further problems that may occur. We would only recommend our ‘Let Only’ service to experienced landlords as there are many issues that could occur during a tenancy period that would require prior knowledge of the letting process.


  • How long does it take to find a tenant for my rental property?
    As we have a mailing list of ready and willing tenants looking for new rental property, we can usually match a tenant to your property within four weeks of initial instruction. Once you decide to let your property with us, our negotiators phone out and match your rental property to the right tenants.


  • How can I apply to rent one of the properties I’ve seen advertised with you?
    Firstly contact us to start the application process. It’s very simple, we will apply for a ‘rating’ for you through a national referencing firm, which usually takes around three days. If successful, we talk to the property’s landlord and arrange a mutually convenient appointment for you to come into our office to sign the relevant documentation.


  • How much deposit will I need to move into a rental property?
    We usually ask for one month rent in advance and one month rent as a deposit. This is general but can alter if, for example, you have pets or where the landlord insists on a higher amount.


  • How long will my tenancy agreement be for?
    We recommend an initial tenancy period of six months in order to protect you. Once you are happy with the property and the landlord is comfortable with the way in which you are conducting the tenancy, we can extend the contract for a longer period.
